Training artificial intelligence requires a new approach to CG imagery. Join AI pioneer Prof. Dr. Philipp Slusallek for a journey into this new world.

You’ve probably made use of technology created by Prof. Dr. Philipp Slusallek without realizing it. Since the mid-90s, his research into image synthesis, lighting simulation, GPU computing and ray tracing have helped establish the groundwork for photorealistic CG.

Now, Philipp is turning his formidable talent and knowledge to a whole new arena by establishing CLAIRE, the Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe.

There is an emerging market of generating ‘correct’ images that accurately simulate the output of specific sensors, from cameras to lidar, radar, and others.
